Chapter 5Keyboard Wedge Interface
Introduction
This chapter provides information for setting up the scanner with a Keyboard Wedge interface. Use this interface type to attach
the scanner between the keyboard and host computer. The scanner translates bar code data into keystrokes which the host
computer accepts as if they originate from the keyboard.
This mode of operation allows adding bar code reading functionality to a system designed for manual keyboard input. In this
mode the keyboard keystrokes are simply passed through.
Throughout the programming bar code menus, asterisks (
*) indicate default values.
