3.4 System Interface Operation
This section describes the functioning of the system interface. The system
interface provides:
■ internal power distribution
■ internal AC/external DC switching
■ serial data connection (THSD or FFSK)
■ fan control
■ general purpose IO
■ receiver audio processing
■ transmitter audio processing
■ opto-isolated keying
■ relay output
■ received signal strength indication (RSSI)
■ receiver gate output
■ receiver inhibit input
■ 13.8VDC (1.5A) output
■ tone on idle (TOI).
These functional parts are described in detail below.
