4 Place a 12 inch / 30 cm block under the
center of the scissor arm pair. Lower the
scissor arm pair onto the block.
5 Remove the external snap rings from both
center pivot pins.
6 Use a soft metal drift to remove both center
pins.
7 Carefully separate the scissor arm pair.
Crushing hazard. The scissor
arms could become
unbalanced
and fall if not properly supported
by the overhead cranes.

Scissor Arm Wear Pad
1 Place a lifting strap from an overhead crane
under the platform at the steer end of the
machine for support. Do not attach the lifting
straps from the overhead crane to the
platform railings.
2 Place a lifting strap from a second overhead
crane under the platform at the non-steer end
of the machine for support. Do not attach the
lifting straps from the overhead crane to the
platform railings.
3 Lift the platform slightly using the overhead
cranes just enough to take the pressure off
the platform slide block pivot pins.
4 Remove the pin retaining fasteners from each
platform centering link pivot pin at the
platform.
5 Place a rod through each platform centering
link pivot pin and twist to remove the pin. Rest
the centering links on the scissor arms.
