only be displayed on the Power Panel plus M along

retraction travel
of the probe
To prevent excess wearing, the probe insert retracts
itself automatically after each probe contact.
Retraction travel is set to 3 mm at our factory. For
specific applications, however, you may wish to
alter this default setting, especially when using the
foot switch. If so, this can be done just before cap-
turing a reference value from menu St1/2. Since
input value can either be zero (no retraction) or
equal to the extent of the measuring range, proceed
as follows:
Enter new value.
Press ENTER to confirm.
Power Panel plus M
Refer to the manual provided with this panel.
From then on, the probe insert will retract over
50 mm after each probe contact. This new setting
allows you to carry out recurrent measurements
quickly in half-automatic mode providing the func-
tion that enables last probe contact to be repeated
was previously released using the relevant switch.
The half-automatic mode is particularly convenient
for checking a critical dimension on part series.
Maximum retraction travel is equal to the measur-
ing span of the vertical column.
