PREPARATIONS
PERPARATION BEFORE MEASUREMENT
Turning on the power
1 Turn on the power of the connected chart presentation device.
2 Turn on the system.
3 Set the power switch of the system to "ON".
4 The visual acuity chart is shown.
Preparation for optometry
1 Set the CV-5000 in front of the patient.
Wipe the forehead rest, examination window and face shield beforehand for sanitation.
2 Press the [PD] switch.
The anterior eye segment of the patient is illuminated and the reticles are set in the CV-5000.
3 Look at the front of the examination window from the inspector side.
Make sure that each of the patient's right and left eyes is at the center of the examination win-
dow.
• When the eyes are deviated horizontally → Turn the dial to align the eyes with the center.
• When one eye is deviated vertically → The patient's face is inclined. Set his/her face verti-
cal.
4 Adjust "VD".
Look into the VD checking windows.
The VD checking windows exist at the both corners of the CV-5000.
• Fit the patient's cornea vertex to the desired scale in the VD checking window.
• Turn the forehead rest adjustment knob for adjustment.
