BASIC OPERATION
LENS SPECIFICATION AND DIAL OPERATION
Turn the dial to set a lens in the CV-5000.
Lens specification
Press the function selector switch [S], [C] or [A], and the lens type to be changed by operating the
dial is changed.
• To change PD, press the [PD] switch.
• To change the addition refractive power, press the [ADD] switch.
The [ADD] switch does not work in the far-point test. Press the [F/N] switch to change to the near-
point test and then, press the [ADD] switch.
Dial operation
• Turn the dial clockwise.
The value is decreased by 1 step.
The step quantity is displayed on the function button 1.
• Turn the dial counterclockwise.
The value is increased by 1 step.
The step quantity is displayed on the function button 1.
Press the [C] switch while "astigmatism" is selected, and the power can be changed. The notation
of astigmatism can be changed by [Settings]
[Shift] + Dial operation
• Turn the dial clockwise.
The value is decreased by the step quantity set for each lens.
• Turn the dial counterclockwise.
The value is increased by the step quantity set for each lens.
• Step quantity when using the [Shift] switch together
Spherical power : 3.00D
Astigmatic power : 1.00D
Axis : 15°
Prism : 1.0

PD : 1mm
To change the prism power, use the [+] and [-] switches on the keyboard. The prism power can be
changed by 0.1
