HYDRAULIC SYSTEM
8. Install the drive belt; refer to the Drive Belt
Installation section on page 8-3.
9. Connect the battery cables. Start the unit and
check the hydraulic fittings for any leaks. Operate
the loader valve, up, down, and tilt to purge any
air out of the system.
10. Install belt cover, pulley cover and rear cover.
6. Install the hose clamp on the hydraulic suction
hose and tighten the clamp (Fig. 158).

7. Install the loader arm valve line and tighten (Fig.

NOTE: Cleanliness is a primary means of
assuring satisfactory life on repaired
pumps. Thoroughly clean all exposed
surfaces prior to any type of maintenance.
Cleaning of all parts by using a solvent
wash and air drying is usually adequate.
As with any precision equipment, all parts
must be kept free of foreign material and
chemicals.
Protect all exposed sealing surfaces and
open cavities from damage and foreign
material. The external surfaces should be
cleaned before beginning any repairs.
