Note:Inspectthreadsandsealingsurfacesofthehydraulicttingsandthe
hydraulichosespriortoinstallation.Replaceanydamagedorwornttings
orhoses.
1.LubricateandtnewO-ringsontothereelmotorttings.Installthettings
makingsurethatthettinglocationandorientationisasnotedduring
removal.Tightenttingsasspecied;refertoInstallingtheHydraulicFittings
(SAEStraightThreadO-RingFittings)(page4–10).
2.CoatthereelmotorshaftsplineswithNo.2multipurposelithiumbase
grease.LubricatetheO−ringonthemotorangewithcleanuid.
3.Rotatethemotorclockwisesothemotorangescleartheangehead
screwsinthecuttingunitsideplates.Alignthereelmotorshaftsplineswith
thecuttingreelinsertsplines.Slidethemotorshaftintothereelinsert.
4.Rotatethemotorcounterclockwiseuntilthemotorangesencirclethecap
screwsinthesideplates.Whileholdingthemotor,tightenthetwo(2)ange
headscrewssecuringthereelmotortothecuttingunit;refertoFigure68.
IMPORTANT
Wheninstallingthehydraulichoses,makesurethathydraulichoses
arestraight(nottwisted)beforetighteningthehosestothemotor
ttings.
5.Removetheplugsandthecapsfromthehydraulichosesandttings.
Usingthelabelsplacedduringremoval,connectthehydraulichosestothe
reelmotorttings.Tightentheconnectionsasspecied;refertoInstalling
HydraulicHosesandTubes(O-RingFaceSeal)(page4–8).
6.Chargethehydraulicsystem;refertoChargingtheHydraulicSystem(page
4–79).
