CAUTION
Ifyouleavethekeyinthestarterswitch,someonecouldaccidentlystarttheengineand
seriouslyinjureyouorbystanders.
Removethekeyfromthestarterswitchanddisconnectthenegativebatterycablefrom
thebatterybeforeyoudoanymaintenance.Setthebatterycableasidesothatitdoesnot
accidentallycontactthebatterypost.

AccessingtheMachine
RaisingtheTankAssembly
DANGER
Thesprayertankassemblyrepresentsa
storedenergyhazard.Ifnotproperlyretained
wheninstallingorremovingtheassembly,
itcanmoveorfallandinjureyouorother
bystanders.
Usestrapsandanoverheadlifttosupport
thesprayertankassemblyduringinstallation,
removal,oranymaintenancewheneveryou
removetheretainingfasteners.
Youcanraiseupthetankassemblytoaccesstothe
engineandotherinternalcomponents.Pivottheboom
extensionforwardtodistributetheweightmoreevenly.
1.Emptythespraytank.
2.Parkthevehicleonalevelsurface.
3.Usetheboom-controlswitchestoraisethe
boomextensiontoapproximately45°.
4.Engagetheparkingbrake,shutofftheengine,
andremovethekey.
5.Removethesafetyboltsfromthefrontofthe
skid(Figure96).
