14.Repeatsteps5through13atleast2moretimes
toensurethatthespraysystemisfullycleaned.
Important:Youmustalwayscompletethis
procedureatleast3timestoensurethat
thespraysystemisfullyclean,preventing
damagetothesystem.
15.Cleanthesuctionlterandpressurelter;refer
toCleaningtheSuctionFilter(page54)and
CleaningthePressureFilter(page54).
Important:Ifyouusedwettablepowder
chemicals,cleanthestraineraftereachtank.
16.Usingagardenhose,rinseofftheoutsideofthe
sprayerwithcleanwater.
17.Removethenozzlesandcleanthembyhand.

Important:Beforecalibratingthesprayersystem
usedontheHDX-Automodel,llthesprayer
tankasrequiredwithcleanwaterandoperatethe
machinewhilesprayingat2.75bar(40psi)or
greaterforaminimumof30minutes.
Note:Beforeusingthesprayerforthersttime,if
youchangethenozzles,orasneeded,calibratethe
sprayerow,speed,andboombypass.
1.Fillthespraytankwithcleanwater.
Note:Ensurethatthereisenoughwaterin
thetanktocompleteeachofthecalibration
procedures.
2.Lowertheleftandrightboomsections.
3.FortheHDX-Automodel—operatethemachine
whilesprayingat2.75bar(40psi)orgreaterfor
aminimumof30minutes.Fillthesprayertank
withcleanwaterwhennished.

CalibratingtheSprayerFlow
Operatorsuppliedequipment:Stopwatchcapable
ofmeasuringto±1/10secondandacontainer
graduatedin50ml(1oz)increments.
Note:Calibratingthesprayerowformachines
withoutathrottlelockrequires2people.
1.Setthetransmissionasfollows:
•ForHD-SeriesModelswithamanual
transmission—shiftthetransmissiontothe
NEUTRALposition.
•FortheHDX-Automodel—shiftthe
transmissiontoP(park).
2.Engagetheparkingbrakeandstarttheengine.
3.Turnonthesprayerpumpandturnonthe
agitation.
