InstallingtheValveActuator
1.Aligntheactuatortothemanifoldvalveand
(Figure109).
2.Securetheactuatorandvalvewiththeretainer
thatyouremovedinstep3ofRemovingthe
ValveActuator(page76).
3.Connectthe3-pinconnectorofthevalve-actuator
harnesstothe3-socketconnectorofthewire
harnessofthesprayer.
Storage
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,engagethe
parkingbrake,shutoffthepump,shutoffthe
engine,andremovethekey.
Note:ForHD-andHDX-SeriesWorkman
modelswithamanualtransmission,disengage
thePTO.
2.Cleandirtandgrimefromtheentiremachine,
includingtheoutsideofthecylinder-headnsof
theengineandblowerhousing.
Important:Youcanwashthemachine
withmilddetergentandwater.Donotuse
high-pressurewatertowashthemachine.
Pressurewashingmaydamagetheelectrical
systemorwashawaynecessarygreaseat
frictionpoints.Avoidexcessiveuseofwater,
especiallynearthecontrolpanel,lights,
engine,andthebattery.
3.Conditionthesprayersystemasfollows:
A.Drainthefreshwatertank.
B.Drainthespraysystemascompletelyas
possible.
C.Preparerustinhibiting,non-alcoholbased,
RVantifreezesolutionperthesolution
manufacturer'sinstructions.
D.AddtheRVantifreezesolutiontothe
freshwatertankandthesprayertank.
E.Runthesprayerpumpforafewminutes
tocirculatetheRVantifreezethroughout
thesprayersystemandanyinstalledspray
accessories;refertoSprayerPump(page
43).
F.Drainthefreshwatertankandspraysystem
ascompletelyaspossible.
4.Usetheboom-liftswitchestoraisethebooms.
Raisetheboomsuntilhavemovedcompletely
intoboomtransportcradleformingthe“X”
transportpositionandtheboomcylindersare
fullyretracted.
Note:Makesurethattheboomcylindersare
fullyretractedtopreventactuatorroddamage.
5.Performthefollowingmaintenancestepsfor
short-termorlong-termstorage:
