A.Thereshouldbenoshakingorvibrationinthesteeringwheelorrear
wheels.
B.Thesteeringwheelmovementsshouldbefollowedimmediatelyby
acorrespondingrearwheelmovementwithoutthesteeringwheel
continuingtoturn.
3.Stopunitwiththeenginerunning.Turnthesteeringwheelwithsmallquick
movementsinbothdirections.Letgoofthesteeringwheelaftereach
movement.
A.Thesteeringcontrolvalveshouldrespondtoeachsteeringwheel
movement.
B.Whensteeringwheelisreleased,steeringcontrolshouldreturntothe
NEUTRALpositionwithnoadditionalturning.

thesteeringcylinderisdamagedusingthefollowingprocedure:
A.ParkthemachineonalevelsurfacewiththePTOswitchoff,lowerthe
cuttingdeck,andsettheparkingbrake.
B.Withtheenginerunning,turnthesteeringwheeltotheright(clockwise)
untilthesteeringcylinderrodisfullyextendedandshutofftheengine.
C.ReadallWarnings,Cautions,andprecautionslistedatthebeginning
ofthissection.
D.Cleanthettingandhoseendontheright(pistonextended)sideofthe
steeringcylinder.Then,disconnectthehose.
E.Useanelboworateettingwithaholepluggedandinstallapressure
gaugeattheendofthedisconnectedhose.
F.Withtheengineshutoff,continueturningthesteeringwheeltotheright
(clockwise)withthesteeringcylinderfullyextended.Monitortheopen
ttingonthesteeringcylinderasthewheelisturned.Ifthehydraulicuid
comesoutofthettingwhileturningthesteeringwheeltotheleft,the
steeringcylinderhasinternalleakageandshouldberepairedorreplaced.
