RemovetheHydraulicTank
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthecuttingdeck,shutoffthe
engine,settheparkingbrake,andremovethekeyfromthekeyswitch.
2.Drainthehydraulicuidfromthetankintoasuitablecontainer;referto
Operator’sManual.
3.Removetherightconsoletogetaccesstoauxiliarycontrolvalve;referto
DisassemblingtheBodyAssembly(page7–6).
4.Cleanthehydraulichoseendsandttingsonthehydraulictanktoprevent
contaminantsfromenteringintothehydraulicsystem.
5.Forassemblypurposes,labelallthehydraulichosesandttings.
6.Removetheauxiliarycontrolvalve;refertoRemovetheAuxiliaryControl
Valve(page5–78).
7.Removetheremaininghydraulicconnectionsfromthettingonthehydraulic
tankanddrainthehosesintoasuitablecontainer.
8.Installthecleancapsorplugsonthehydraulichosesandttingstoprevent
systemcontamination.
9.Removethebolts(item1inFigure65),washers(2and8)andnuts(9)that
securesthebandclamps(4and5)totheoperatorplatform(7).
10.Removethebandclampsandremovethehydraulictankfromthemachine.
11.Removethehydraulictanklterfromthehydraulictankanddiscardthe
O-ringfromthelter.
12.Ifthehydraulicttingsaretoberemovedfromthehydraulictank,markthe
ttingorientationforassemblypurposes.Removethettingsfromthetank
anddiscardtheO-ringsfromthettings.
InspectingtheHydraulicTank
1.Cleanthehydraulictankandtankstrainerwithsolvent.
2.Inspectthehydraulictankforleaks,cracks,orotherdamage.
InstallingtheHydraulicTank
1.Ifthehydraulicttingswereremovedfromthehydraulictank,lubricateand
installthenewO-ringstothettings.Toproperlyalignandinstallthettings
intothetankopenings,usethemarksthatyoumadeduringtheremoval
process.Tightenthettings;refertoInstallingtheHydraulicFittings(page
5–10).
2.LubricateandinstallthenewtanklterO-ringontothelter.Threadthetank
lterintothehydraulictankwithhand.Then,useawrench,turnthelterinto
thetankport1-1/2to2fullturnsbeyondngertight.
3.Positionthehydraulictankontotheoperatorplatformandsecurewithband
clamps,bolts,washersandnuts(Figure65).
4.Removethecapsorplugsthatwereinstalledtothehydraulichosesand
ttingsduringtheremovalprocess.
5.Installtheauxiliarycontrolvalveontothebandclamps;refertoInstallingthe
AuxiliaryControlValve(page5–79).
6.Usethelabelsthatyouattachedduringtankremovaltocorrectlyconnect
thehydraulichosestothettingsonthehydraulictank;refertoInstalling
theHydraulicFittings(page5–10).
7.Fillthehydraulictankwiththecorrectquantityofnewhydraulicuid.
8.Operatethemachineandcheckforthehydraulicleaksnearthecomponents
andttings.Tightenanylooseconnections.
