InstallingtheHopperLiftCylinder
1.Ifthehydraulicttingswereremovedfromthehopperliftcylinder,lubricate
newO-ringswithcleanhydraulicuid,positiontheO-ringstothettings,
andinstallthettingsintothehopperliftcylinderports;refertoInstalling
theHydraulicFittings(page5–10).Ensurethatthettingsareorientated
correctly.
2.Positiontheballjointendofhopperliftcylinder(14)andsafetyhandle(19)
ontothearm(7)andsecurewiththebolt(13)andnut(11).
3.Positionthebarrelendofthehopperliftcylinder(14)ontotheLHbracket(6)
andsecurewiththepin(5)andsnapring(4).
4.Removethecapsandplugsfromthehydraulichosesandttingsthatwere
installedduringtheremovalprocess.
5.LubricateandinstallthenewO-ringsonthehopperliftcylinderttings.
Correctlyconnectthehydraulichosestothehopperliftcylinder;referto
InstallingtheHydraulicHosesandTubes(page5–8).
6.Afteryoucompletetheassembly,ensurethatthehydraulichosesand
ttingsdonotcontactanythingtothebracketsorarms.Also,checkforany
hydraulic-uidleaks.
7.Lubricatethehopperliftcylindergreasettings.
8.Checkthehydraulic-uidlevelinthehydraulictankandaddcorrectquantity
ofuidifnecessary;refertotheOperator’sManual.
9.Operatethemachinefunctionsslowlyuntilairisoutofsystem;referto
ChargingtheHydraulicSystem(page5–72).
10.Starttheengine,checkforhydraulic-uidleaks,repairanyleaksas
necessary,andllthehydraulictankwiththecorrectquantityofnew
hydraulicuid.
11.Operateandcheckthatthehopperliftcylinderdoesnotcontactthebracket
orarmasthehoppermovesupanddown.
