9.Ifthehydraulicttingsaretoberemovedfromthehoppertiltcylinder,mark
thettingorientationforassemblypurposes.Removethettingsfromthe
hoppertiltcylinderanddiscardtheO-ringsfromthettings.
InstallingtheHopperTiltCylinder
1.Ifthehydraulicttingswereremovedfromthehoppertiltcylinder,lubricate
newO-ringswithcleanhydraulicuid,positiontheO-ringstothettings,
andinstallthettingsintothehoppertiltcylinderports;refertoInstalling
theHydraulicFittings(page5–10).Ensurethatthettingsareorientated
correctly.
2.Positionthehoppertiltcylindertothesupportframe.
Note:Thehoppertiltcylinderbarrelendshouldbeattachedtothesupport
frame(11)(Figure94).
3.Securethehoppertiltcylinderbarrelend(7)tothesupportframe(11)with
thepin(8),washer(9)andthebolt(10).
4.Positionandsecurethehoppertiltcylinderrodend(7)tothehopperframe
(1)withthebolt(4)andthenut(2).
5.Removethecapsandplugsthatwereinstalledtothehydraulichosesand
ttingsduringtheremovalprocess.
6.PutacoatingofcleanhydraulicuidonnewttingO-rings,installtheO-rings,
andconnectthehydraulichosestothettingsonthehoppertiltcylinder.
Tightenthehoseconnections;refertoInstallingtheHydraulicHosesand
Tubes(page5–8).
7.Afteryoucompletetheassembly,ensurethatthehydraulichosesand
ttingsdonotcontactanythingtotheframesorarms.Also,checkforany
hydraulic-uidleaks.
8.Lubricatethehoppertiltcylindergreasettings.
9.Checkthehydraulic-uidlevelinthehydraulictankandaddcorrectquantity
ofuidifnecessary;refertotheOperator’sManual.
10.Operatethemachinefunctionsslowlyuntilairisoutofsystem;referto
ChargingtheHydraulicSystem(page5–72).
11.Starttheengine,checkforhydraulic-uidleaks,repairanyleaksas
necessary,andllthehydraulictankwiththecorrectquantityofnew
hydraulicuid.
12.Operateandcheckthatthehoppertiltcylinderdoesnotcontacttheframeor
armasthehoppertiltsforwardandreverse.
