InstallingtheChuteCleaningCylinder
1.Ifthehydraulicttingswereremovedfromthechutecleaningcylinder,
lubricatenewO-ringswithcleanhydraulicuid,positiontheO-ringstothe
ttings,andinstallthettingsintothechutecleaningcylinderports;referto
InstallingtheHydraulicFittings(page5–10).
2.Positionthechutecleaningcylinderontothelever(4).
Note:Thechutecleaningcylinderbarrelendshouldbetowardsrightside
ofthemachine.
3.Slideandsecurethechutecleaningcylinder(6)withthepins(5)andsplit
pins(7).
4.Removethecapsandplugsthatwereinstalledtothehydraulichosesand
ttingsduringtheremovalprocess.
5.PutacoatingofcleanhydraulicuidonnewttingO-rings,installtheO-rings,
andconnectthehydraulichosestothettingsonthechutecleaningcylinder.
Tightenthehoseconnections;refertoInstallingtheHydraulicHosesand
Tubes(page5–8).
6.Afteryoucompletetheassembly,ensurethatthehydraulichosesand
ttingsdonotcontactanythingtothecuttingdeck.Also,checkforany
hydraulic-uidleaks.
7.Checkthehydraulic-uidlevelinthehydraulictankandaddcorrectquantity
ofuidifnecessary;refertotheOperator’sManual.
8.Operatethemachinefunctionsslowlyuntilairisoutofsystem;referto
ChargingtheHydraulicSystem(page5–72).
9.Starttheengine,checkforhydraulic-uidleaks,repairanyleaksas
necessary,andllthehydraulictankwiththecorrectquantityofnew
hydraulicuid.
