20.Ifnecessary,separatetheoilcoolerfromtheradiatorasfollows(Figure16):
A.Removethe4nuts,boltsandwashersthatattachtheoilcoolertothe
radiator.
B.Separatetheoilcoolerfromtheradiator.
C.Ifthehydraulicttingsaretoberemovedfromtheoilcooler,markthe
ttingorientationforassembly.
D.Removethe2straightttingsfromtheoilcooleranddiscardtheO-rings
fromthettings.
21.Inspectallgasketsontheradiatorandradiatorframe.Replaceanyfoam
sealsthataredamaged.
InstallingtheRadiator
1.Ifdisassembled,assembletheradiator(Figure14).
2.Ifseparated,assembletheoilcoolertotheradiatorasfollows:
A.Ifthestraightttingswereremovedfromtheoilcooler,lubricateand
installthenewO-ringsontothettings.Installthettingsintothe
oilcoolerportopeningsandtightenthettings;refertoInstallingthe
HydraulicFittings(page5–10).
B.Attachtheoilcoolertotheradiatorwith4bolts,washersandnuts(Figure
16).
3.Removeanyplugsinstalledduringtheremovalprocedure.
4.Properlylocatetheradiatorinpositionandinstallthe2mountbushingsand
nuts.
5.Installthefanassemblytotheradiatorwiththe4bolts,washersandnuts.
6.Connecttheelectricalplugtotheblower.
7.Applysealanttothethreads,andthenconnectthehydraulicttingstothe
radiator.
8.Installtheupperandlowerradiatorhoses.Securethemwiththeproper
hoseclamps.
9.Installcoolantreservoirtobracketontothemountbracketandsecurewith
2bolts,washersandnuts.
10.Connecttheoverowhosetotheradiatorllerneckandsecurewiththe
hoseclamp.
11.Ensurethattheradiatordrainplugistight.Filltheradiatorwithcoolant;refer
totheOperator’sManual.
12.Installthedebrisscreentotheradiator;refertotheOperator’sManual.
13.Rotatetheradiatorandsecureitinplacewiththelatch.
14.Checkandaddthehydraulicuidasnecessarytoraisetheuidleveltothe
operatingrange;refertotheOperator’sManual.
15.Unlockandlowerthehopperassembly;refertoOperator’sManual.
16.Starttheengineandcheckforcoolantandhydraulicuidleaks.Repairany
leaksbeforereturningthemachinetoservice.
17.Continuetoruntheenginetoobtaintheoperatingtemperature.Checkthe
coolantandhydraulicuidlevelsandadjustasnecessary.
