5.2 Dismantling the blade
CAUTION
Risk of injury on the upright knife!
The cut-off knife is very sharp. There is increased risk of injury in the case
of unsafe handling of the cut-off knife.
Wear personal protective equipment.
Only store dismantled blades in safe places!
Never touch the blade’s cutting edge.
Make sure that no unauthorised persons have access to the knife.
1. Perform an initialisation.
- This ensures that the blade is in the replacement position (bottom
position).
2. Open the infeed cover ( “Opening feeding lid” on page 80).
3. Switch off the mains power disconnecter (master switch).
4. Open the front door ( “Opening the front door:” on page 80)
5. Remove the crumb tray ( “Removing crumb tray:” on page 81).
6. Lower the removal chute to the bottom position ( “Lowering removal
chamber:” on page 81).
7. Position the installation spanner on the pressure plate and the ring
spanner on the nut.
8. Loosen the nut by turning it left. Apply counterforce by the installation
spanner to avoid the blade from rotating.
9. Remove the blade.
10. Press the blade flange out of the blade.
