5.3 Installing the blade
CAUTION
Risk of injury on the upright knife!
The cut-off knife is very sharp. There is increased risk of injury in the case
of unsafe handling of the cut-off knife.
Wear personal protective equipment.
Only store dismantled blades in safe places!
Never touch the blade’s cutting edge.
Make sure that no unauthorised persons have access to the knife.
NOTICE
When using the fastening nut that was previously used to fasten the blade,
it cannot be ensured that the clamping force is still sufficient. The blade
could become detached and damage the machine.
Always use a new self-locking nut when mounting the blade.
1. Place the blade flange on the blade shaft.
- The cylindrical locating pins are now pointing towards you.
2. Place the blade on the blade flange.
- The locating pins must engage in the holes in the blade so that the
blade lies flat on the blade flange.
3. Position the pressure plate and then place the washer on the blade
shaft.
