6.4 Switch-off
6.4.1 Switch-off at the end of production
1. Switch off machine via the main switch.
2. Clean the machine ( “Cleaning” on page 75).
6.4.2 Switching off for maintenance and repair work
1. Switch off machine via the main switch.
2. Unplug the plug from the socket.
3. Remove the blade if you are working in the blade box.
6.4.3 Switching off using EMERGENCY STOP
CAUTION
Risk of injury on the upright knife!
If you open any cover or the blade box cover during a running cutting op-
eration, the machine will switch off and the blade will stop immediately. The
blade can come to a stop in the chute and you can injure yourself on the
stopped blade.
Wear personal protective equipment.
The EMERGENCY STOP function is triggered by the machine's protective
equipment.
Examples of this can be found in chapter “Functional test of the safety
switches” on page 41.
The blade and the product feed holder stop instantly in the event of an
EMERGENCY STOP.
