10.2.3 AUTOMATIC POWER TRANSFER SWITCH
(COMMANDER ONLY)
This Commander model is equipped with an auto-
matic power transfer switch that transfers the electri-
cal load between the shoreline or generator power
source. It automatically transfers all the load to shore-
line whenever it is plugged in. The shoreline must be
unplugged to utilize power from the generator.
When the generator is started, the transfer unit by-
passes all electrical loads for 30 to 45 seconds to allow
for easy starting. Then when the generator is running
smoothly, the electrical load is applied.
When the shoreline is plugged in to an outside power
source the transfer unit automatically switches away
from the generator to the shoreline. If you wish to use
the generator only, unplug the shoreline power cord.
10.2.4 GENERATOR REFUELLING
The generator fuel pick-up tube is located within the
main fuel tank. This fuel pick-up is shorter than the
engine pickup tube, to prevent the vehicle from being
without fuel while on site.
COMMANDER / EMBASSY
Do not smoke when refuelling. Keep ames, sparks and
smoking material away from fuel or ammable fumes.
