The Sentro 8 Sensorstation is approved
intrinsically safe for use in underground
mining hazardous areas, category M1.
The complete system is powered from a
single approved intrinsically safe
12 V dc power source and all elements of the
system, including approved sensors, can be
mounted in the hazardous area.
Sensor voltage: 12 V dc
Sensor certification: Ex ia 1 M1
Checkpoint
Creepage and clearance on terminal
groupings of the Sentro 8 Sensorstation
are sufficient to permit the routing
of circuits emanating from different
intrinsically safe power supplies through
the Sentro 8 Sensorstation.
Checkpoint
The outer cover of the Sentro 8
Sensorstation may be safely removed
when the Sentro 8 Sensorstation is
powered-up in order to replace a gas
sensing eModule or to perform calibration.
