11.4 Periodically
1. Every 1 month, or if the cycle fails because of "low-heat", sterilize
and clean the bio-hazard filter, according to para. 10.7.
2. Every 100 cycles replace the bio-hazard filter, according to para.
10.7.
1. Check the door gasket every 12 months and replace it if required
(refer to the technician manual). Replacing the gasket shall be
done by a technician.
2. Once a year check and tighten the piping joints to avoid leakage
(to be done by an authorized technician).
3. Once a year check and tighten all screw connections in the control
box, heaters, valves and instrumentation (to be done by an
authorized technician).
4. Once a month clean the strainer as per para. 9.3. Cleaning
frequency may be reduced according to experience.
5. Once every six months clean the fan grid, from the inside outward,
with a vacuum cleaner.
6. Every 6 months replace the air filter, (if installed) (to be done by an
authorized technician).
7. Drain the generator every 6 months and refill it with mineral free
water (to be done by a qualified technician).
11.5 Periodical Tests
1. Once every month activate the safety valve (see below).
11.6 Replacing the Safety Valve – PED type
Caution!
Before starting, be sure that the electric cord is disconnected
and that there is no pressure in the autoclave.
This paragraph refers to the chamber's and the generator's
safety valves
1. Unscrew 4 screws (5) fastening the safety valve shield (6) to the
autoclave and remove the shield.
2. Open the left service door.
3. Disconnect the pipe connection.
4. Unscrew and remove the relevant safety valve (1 or 2) with a 21
mm wrench.
