Alarm symbols
The figure shows all possible symbols and characters that can be
shown on the display:
Item Icon Description
A Alarm mode
B Faulty indoor temperature sensor
Faulty floor temperature sensor
Faulty remote temperature sensor
Faulty outdoor temperature sensor
C Relative humidity limit reached (high limit)
This symbol is only shown if cooling is active, and if
RH control is be activated in Uponor Smatrix PULSE
app (requires communication module).
D Communication fault indicator
Alarm icon is displayed
• An error has occured

Go to the alarm list for more information
The display is off
• The cable is not connected or a wire is damaged
-
Check the wiring
-
Connect the thermostat directly to the room controller with
a short bus connection to verify thermostat functionality.
If the thermostat functions correctly check the existing
wiring (cable and connections) before replacing the wiring,
otherwise replace the thermostat.
Communication fault icon is displayed in the alarm
list
• The cable is not connected or a wire is damaged

Check the wiring

Connect the thermostat directly to the room controller with
a short bus connection to verify thermostat functionality.
If the thermostat functions correctly check the existing
wiring (cable and connections) before replacing the wiring,
otherwise replace the thermostat.
• The thermostat is faulty

Force the thermostat to transmit by changing the
temperature setpoint

Replace thermostat
Relative humidity icon is displayed in the alarm list
Note
RH control is activated in the Uponor Smatrix PULSE
app (requires communication module).
• The relative humidity limit is reached

Lower the humidity level by increasing the ventilation or
activating a dehumidifier
Floor temperature sensor icon is displayed in the
alarm list
• Faulty temperature sensor

Check the connection of the floor sensor
-
Disconnect the temperature sensor and check it with an
ohmmeter. Make sure the value aligns with the
temperatuer sensor diagram, see External temperature
sensor resistance diagram, Page 87
• Incorrect thermostat control mode, or temperature sensor not
connected

Select correct thermostat control mode (settings menu 4)
Outdoor temperature sensor icon is displayed in
the alarm list
• Faulty temperature sensor

Check the connection of the outdoor sensor

Disconnect the temperature sensor and check it with an
ohmmeter. Make sure the value aligns with the
temperatuer sensor diagram, see External temperature
sensor resistance diagram, Page 87
• Incorrect thermostat control mode, or temperature sensor not
connected

Select correct thermostat control mode (settings menu 4)
Indoor temperature sensor icon is displayed in the
alarm list
• Faulty temperature sensor

Contact the installer or replace the thermostat
Remote temperature sensor icon is displayed in the
alarm list
• Faulty temperature sensor

Check the connection of the remote sensor
