X5 Sequencer Speed Selection
Table 7-5 gives more information on the speed selection options available in the X5 sequencer by
programming bits 0, 1, 2, and 3 of each state’s control parameter. The options include any Preset
Speed, Max Frequency, or allowing the reference to be determined in the normal X5 control path.
X5 Sequencer Ramping Selection
When the sequencer is active, the active ramp is no longer determined by parameter “Ramp Select.”
The user, however, does have the choice of using the main ramps (Accel Time 1/Decel Time1), or
the alternate ramp sets (Accel Time 2/Decel Time 2...3, 4) for each independent state. This is
determined by bits 4 and 5 of the step’s control parameter. The following chart shows the selection
of ramp times based on how bits 4 and 5 are set for the control parameter:
