Safety Tether
The Volcon Grunt EVO is equipped with a safety tether. The device acts as a
“kill switch” when connection is lost. The power signal ONLY to the throttle is
disrupted. The EVO remains powered, however the throttle will not engage
until the tether is reconnected.
We recommend powering the motorcycle off before reconnecting the safety
tether. This will allow the operator time to review the situation causing the
disconnection (fall, accident, or other) and ensure the throttle cannot be
accidentally engaged during tether reconnection.
WARNING Do not tamper with or bypass the safety tether switch.
Doing so will compromise the safety of the motorcycle and operator, which
can cause serious injury or death.
The safety tether is secured via a wrist lanyard. The operator must securely
attach the lanyard over the wrist, ensuring the lanyard cannot be
unintentionally removed. The lanyard should not squeeze the operator’s
wrist excessively.
WARNING Before operating the motorcycle, ensure the operator has
the safety tether securely fastened to their wrist.
