MAINTENANCE
WARNING DO NOT leave the battery charging unattended.
CAUTION Always ensure the battery charger is unplugged from the
power source when not in use.
Storage
The Volcon battery has operating temperatures ranging from -4°F (-20°C) to
131°F (55°C). At the lower temperature range, the discharge capacity will be
reduced to 45% of the standard capacity at 70°F (21°C). Below -4°F (-20°C)
the batterys chemical reactions drop below the practical use threshold.
The optimal storage temperature is -4°F (-20°C) to 68°F (20°C).

For Long Term Storage, durations over 30 days but not to exceed 120 days,
we recommend the battery is stored in a location or area where you can
monitor the battery every 30 days as suggested in the “Maintenance Cycle”
section. In the event this is not possible, the following steps must be taken to
help keep the battery from deep sleep mode or non-recoverable failure:
1. Run or discharge the battery to less than 5%.
2. Fully recharge the battery to 100%.
3. Store at the proper temperature for the duration suggested in the
“Storage” section.
