MAINTENANCE
WARNING Misalignment of the belt will result in abnormal wear and
may result in unsafe riding conditions.
Brakes
Proper maintenance of your brake system is very important. We suggest the
following checks before every ride:
- Check the fluid reservoirs on both the front and rear brakes. Ensure
the reservoirs are at least more than half full of fluid. NOTE:
replenish fluid with care. Do not introduce foreign matter into the
reservoir. Use DOT 3 fluid from a sealed container.
⚠ CAUTION Brake fluid can damage painted surfaces or plastic parts.
Wipe up any spills.
- Ensure the brake levers are operational and do not pull all the way
back to the grips. There should be resistance/pressure.
- Ensure when brake levers are pulled the brakes are engaging the
rotors, front and rear.
If brake parts are damaged and need replacement or need service, please see
your local Volcon authorized dealer. Please visit www.volcon.com to locate a
dealer near you.
Brake pads
Brakes are an essential safety system and require proper maintenance.
The front brake uses a two-piston caliper with composite pads. The rear
brake uses a single-piston caliper with composite pads.
