MAINTENANCE
Basic Maintenance Procedures
This section includes instructions for basic maintenance procedures.
Due to the complexity of some maintenance procedures, good mechanical
skill is required. If the procedures listed are beyond your comfort or skill
level or you are not familiar/comfortable with the mechanics - please
contact your local Volcon Authorized dealer. Visit www.volcon.com to find
a dealer near you.
WARNING Power down the motorcycle and disconnect the battery
before starting any maintenance procedure(s). Follow all instructions when
performing maintenance. If you do not follow proper instructions you can be
injured by hot parts, moving parts, electricity, or other hazards.
Tires
WARNING Tires that are not recommended type, damaged, worn, or
improperly inflated can cause loss of control, causing serious injury or death.
The tires have been specifically designed for this motorcycle. The use of
different tread styles will result in different performances or functions.
Please consult service@volcon.com for recommendations.
Tire Pressure
Recommended tire inflation pressure is found on the tire label located on
the front side of the rear fender. See the Motorcycle or Safe Operating
Instruction Section.
When temperature changes occur, tire inflation pressure also changes. A
drop of 10°F (6°C) can cause a corresponding drop of approximately 1 psi
in tire pressure. Check your tire pressures frequently and adjust
accordingly to the proper pressure.
