MAINTENANCE
To protect your investment, we urge you to take responsibility for keeping
your motorcycle well-maintained. Scheduled service is a must but just as
important to always abide by all the pre-ride inspections, post-ride reviews,
and other periodic checks detailed in this section.
Pre-Ride Checklist
WARNING Perform a pre-ride inspection before each ride to detect
potential problems during operation. The pre-ride inspection can help you
monitor wear and deterioration before they become a problem. Correct any
problems that you discover to reduce the risk of breakdown or accidents. See

PRE-RIDE CHECKLIST
Clean, no rust, easy movement, appropriate
tension, aligned, teeth not rounded or broken.
Check tire pressure on both Front and Rear tires;
Check tread depth, wear, weathering, and
embedded objects.
Check the fluid level on both Front and Rear;
Ensure both levers do not bottom out. Check
brake pads and rotors for wear.
Make sure all controls function properly.
Make sure the headlight functions when
powered; Check the brake light is functioning;
Check the high beam function.
