MAINTENANCE
Visually inspect the display for damage, error
codes, or malfunctions of any kind. Rotate the
encoder ring to ensure functionality.
Make sure the steering turns freely without
binding.
Check for leaks, pitting, or rust.
With the power off, check to ensure the throttle
moves freely and snaps closed.
When you are complete with your ride, we recommend the following:
- Clean your EVO and remove all heavy debris. Wash if necessary.
- Check the items listed in the pre-ride checklist for damaged or
missing items.
Proper maintenance is the ownerās responsibility. A warranty claim can be
denied if, among other things, the owner or operator causes the problem
through improper maintenance or use.
If pre-ride inspection is not possible, perform periodic checks and follow
the suggested maintenance schedule. The maintenance schedule does
NOT exempt the pre-ride checklist.
Verifying alert codes is a good practice and is highly recommended.
WARNING Failure to properly maintain the motorcycle according to
the maintenance schedule and procedures can make the motorcycle unsafe
to operate.
