CAUTION Do not squeeze the rear brake lever after the rear wheel is
removed. Doing so will cause difficulty in fitting the brake disc between the
brake pads.
6. Remove the left and right spacers from the wheel. [Fig. 7, item 2 and
8]
Installing the Rear Wheel
CAUTION The installation instruction and tightening torque values
must be strictly adhered to. Failure to do so can lead to damage to the
motorcycle.
The installation is the reverse of the removal procedure. However, pay
attention to the following:
7. Grease the axle, spacers and bearing seals before install.
Recommend using automotive grease or any kind of
waterproof lubricant for mechanical applications.
8. Mount the brake caliper in between the wheel and
swingarm. NOTE: Ensure the rotor is seated between the
brake pads.
9. Align the brake bracket protrusion with the brake bracket
guide on the inside of the swingarm.
10. Slide the rear axle through the axle adjuster block. [Fig. 8]
NOTE: Ensure the flange is flush within the axles adjuster
block.
11. Hand-tighten the axle nut.
12. Adjust the axle block screws to achieve correct belt tension
[See belt Adjustment section]
13. Tighten the axle nut. TORQUE: 65ft-lb (88Nm)
