2.9 Maintenance
Maintenance
• Observe the intervals prescribed by law and those specified in this
Operator’s Manual for routine checks/inspections and maintenance.
• For inspection and maintenance, ensure that all tools and service
center equipment are adapted to the performance of the task
described in this Operator’s Manual.
• Do not use any damaged or malfunctioning tools.
• Have hydraulic hoses replaced within stipulated intervals even if no
visual defects can be detected.
• The vehicle and the engine must be stopped during maintenance.
• Once maintenance is over, correctly install safety equipment again that
has been removed.
• Wait for the vehicle to cool down before touching components.
• Maintenance that does not involve HV components (e.g. replacing oil),
where the maintenance personnel must work near HV components
and, in the event of an error, could trigger an electrical hazard, must be
performed by "electrically trained persons". The training must include
the following factual information:
- the hazard sources on the machine,
- safety measures and
- the corresponding rules of conduct.
• In order to be permitted to perform maintenance on HV systems of the
machine, further training as "Expert for Work on HV Intrinsically Safe
Machines" (DGUV Information 200-005) is mandated in Germany.
