Electrical Shock Hazard
Disconnect power before servicing.
Replace all parts and panels before
operating.
Failure to do so can result in death or
electrical shock.
1. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
2. Turn off the water supply to the washer.
3. Remove the outer tub and spin basket
assembly (See page 4-39).
4. Pry 2 metal tabs up with a flat blade
screwdriver.
5. Slide the baffle to release the tabs from the
slots in the spin basket and remove it from
the spin basket.
NOTE: It is not necessary to remove
the spin basket from the outer tub when
replacing a broken baffle. Just break off the
broken baffle and remove all of the broken
parts. Make sure the pry tabs are lowered
toward the center of the spin basket. Slide
the new baffle into the slots in the spin
basket and slide the baffle until it locks into
place behind the pry tabs.
