The following section provides information on regular tests and the replacement of samosPRO
modules.
Do not attempt to remove, repair, or modify the samosPRO modules. This may lead to loss of
safety functions. Furthermore, this will void any warranty claim you may have against Wieland
Electric GmbH.
Regular testing of the safety equipment by qualified persons

Test the system according to national valid regulations within the required time frames.
This is necessary in order to discover any changes in the machine or manipulations to the
safety equipment after initial commissioning.
Every security application must be tested within a time interval specified by you. The effec-
tiveness of the safety equipment must be tested by trained and qualified persons.
If modifications have been carried out on the machine or safety equipment or the safety
control has been retrofitted or maintained, then retest the system according to the check-
list in the appendix.
Carry out regular or daily inspections in order to keep the samosPRO modules in optimum
operating condition.
Check whether the implementation of the samosPRO modules contains all of the technical
data for the device.
Check the installation conditions and whether the wiring of the samosPRO modules has
been completed correctly.
Conduct regular verifications to ensure that the safety functions fulfill the requirements of
the application and all regulations and standards (e.g. regular testing) in order to ensure
the reliability of the safety functions.
