Turning Off the Printer
General Power Off
Note
Wait five seconds after any active job completes before switching off the printer.
To Turn the Printer Off:
Press the Power On/Off button to turn your machine off. This is the method you should
use to turn the printer on and off for general purposes. Do not use the Main Power
Switch.
If the Energy Saver option is selected, the machine will immediately enter an energy
saving mode. If there are any jobs in the queue, a second pop-up screen is displayed.
Note
To re-activate the machine when in Energy Saver mode, press the Energy Saver button.
Turning Off Main Power
Main printer power is controlled by the Main Power Switch. Main power should be left
on for normal printer operation and should only be switched off when connecting a
cable to the printer, when cleaning the printer, or when a complete reboot is required.
Caution
Switch the main power off before unplugging the power cord. Unplugging the power
cord with the main power on may damage the printer's internal hard drive or cause a
printer malfunction.
