Installing the DM2000
The DM2000 should be placed on a strong and stable surface, somewhere that complies
with the warnings and cautions listed in the previous sections.
New Functions in DM2000 Version 2
The following functions have been added to the DM2000 as part of the upgrade of the ļ¬rm-
ware from version 1.2 to version 2.0.
Control Surface
ā¢When you operate the faders (for fader levels) or Encoders (for pan settings), the corre-
sponding fader level or pan setting appears on the channel strip display.
ā¢You can switch the indication on the channel strip display between channel name/ID and
port name/ID. ā page 276
⢠Encoder mode now features an assignable function, ALT LAYER, which enables you to con-
trol the channel level for all 48 channels without switching between layers. ā page 61
ā¢There are now 50 assignable Encoder mode parameters. ā page 63
Input Channels

ā¢You can change the bus assigned to each surround pan channel. ā page 99

channels simultaneously while maintaining the relative level balance of each channel.
