Distribution
Use the Add button in the tool bar to record the distribution of consumables. The
Item drop down menu includes all consumables entered in the Items tab. The
Location drop down menu includes all locations entered in the Instrument and
Location Workspace. The Lot Number drop down menu includes lot numbers
for the selected items received in the Order tab. The expiration date is entered
automatically. A comment of up to 16 characters can be entered.
The Distribution tab will list each location with its consumables. Define an alert
date and click a check mark next to Highlight items expiring within xx days to
alert you to transfer stock to a different location where it can be used before its
expiration date.
Use the Delete button on the tool bar to delete a distribution.
Use the Transfer button in the toolbar to move consumables from one location to
another.
Use the Find Lot button to find a location where a consumable of a specific lot has
been distributed. Click the Find Next button to find other locations for this lot.
Use the Add Note button to add a note to the Inventory Log.
