Before starting the process make sure all the
required equipment is available:
• Recently updated i-STAT 1 Handheld (referred to in this section
as the Sending Handheld) charged to 7.5 volts or higher*
• The Handheld unit to be updated (referred to in this section
as the Receiving Handheld) charged to 7.5 volts or higher*
• Electronic Simulator
After updating the first i-STAT 1 Handheld, follow these steps to update additional
Handhelds with the Handheld-to-Handheld Process
