2.2.5 Polarity Setting Mode (Unipolar/Bipolar)
As the 6146/6156 produces bipolar output power, the source value can be changed from positive polarity
to negative polarity continuously through key operations.
However, such continuous variation can be prohibited by changing the polarity setting mode to unipolar.
This can prevent the load from being damaged by unexpected polarity switching. This mode offers the
same operability as that of the former model 6144 that produces unipolar output power.
Changing the polarity setting mode
The polarity setting mode is changed using MENU, SOURC and POL.
1. Press Menu.
2. Select 1..SOURC with , or , and enter the Select level with .
3. Select POL with , or , and enter the Input/Run level with .
4. Select UN.POL or BI.POL with , or .
5. Press ENTER and EXIT in this order to return to the HOME screen.
