20 Full Reset by Flashing the DOM
20.1 Flashing the Image File to the DOM
YoucanperformafullresetofthedevicebyflashingtheiFTimagefilestraighttotheDOM(disk-on-a-module)
usingtheImageFlashtool.
WhenyouperformafullresetusingtheImageFlashtool,thesystem:
l ResetstheIPaddressto10.0.0.10.
l Deletesallconfigurationsandrestoresthedefaultvaluesinallconfigurations.
l RestoresthedefaultvaluesfortheconfigurationofMIOcardandNetI/Ounits(NO/NC,failsafe,and
watchdog).
l Deletesallusersandrestoresthedefaultusers.
l Deletesthecalibrationpictures.
l Deletesalllicenses:systemlicenseandapplicationlicenses.

Before performingafullreset,backupanydatathatyouneedtokeepandrestore.Attheveryleast,
backupthesystemlicense.YoucanbackupthesystemlicenseviatheXOclientsoftware.For
instructions,seetheXO Client Software User Manual(21796).
YoucaneasilyreinstallyourapplicationlicensesviaXchange(synchronise).Forinstructions,seethe
Xchange Tool User Manual(27816).
ToperformafullresetusingtheImageFlashtool,youneedthefollowing:
l theImageFlashtool
l theiFTimagefiletoflashontheDOM
l aSATA-to-USBcable.

IfyouperformafullresetusingtheImageFlashtool,theXOdevicewillrestartwithIPaddress
10.0.0.10.MakesurethatyourPCcanreachthisaddressandreconnecttotheXOdevice:settheIP
addressofyourPCinthesamerange.
ToperformafullresetusingtheImageFlashtool,proceedasfollows:
1. IfyoudonothavetheImageFlashtoolyet,gototheSecuritySolutionsSupportsite
www.xtralissecurity.comandlogon.
2. IntheKeywords box,typeimageflash (oneword)andpressEntertosearchforthetool.
3. DownloadandunziptheFT2ImageFlash.zipfileonyourPC.
4. TodownloadtheiFTSeriesXO4imagefile:intheKeywords box,type32692 andpressEntertosearchfor
thefile(orfilteronProduct =XOandFile Type =Firmware (downloadtheimage file,nottheupgradefile).
5. DownloadandunziptheADPROXO_04_03_000x_x64.img.zipfile.
6. IntheXOclientsoftware,chooseSystem >Maintenance >Configuration Management.
