Replacement procedures
4. Remove the three Torx T-10 screws from the large hex-shaped source
assembly on the top of the detector tower.

5. Carefully lift the source assembly/bead from the detector.
Caution The active element is fragile. Do not handle it or allow it to strike hard surfaces.
Handle the active element assembly only by the cable or the hex nut.
6. Reassembly is the reverse of removal with the following provisions:
When you tighten the three screws on the source assembly nut,
tighten one screw about finger tight and then tighten the remaining
two screws firmly. This will sufficiently tighten the first screw.
When reconnecting the bayonet style detector cable, first line up the
white hemispherical tabs in the connectors, as shown:
