Using the Dual ARB Waveform Player
2. Redeem the N7699A-D01 that came with your copy of Option 22x. For more information on redeeming
the N7699A-D01, refer to the E4438C-22x Entitlement Certificate.
3. Cycle the power on the signal generator.
NOTE Anytime a new Option 22x is installed on the signal generator, you must cycle power on the
signal generator to enable the Waveform 5-Pack License and to activate the
5-Pack License
softkey.
Licensing a Signal Generator Waveform File
1. Create the waveform:
a. Download any of the N76xxB Signal Studio software that interest you. For downloading N76xxB
Signal Studio software, refer to the E4438C-22x Entitlement Certificate.
b. Create and download a waveform to a signal generator using any of the N76xxB Signal Studio
Software. Refer to your Signal Studio Software Help.
2. Save the file to NVWFM memory:
Before you can license a waveform with the Waveform 5-Pack licensing, the waveform must be saved in
the non-volatile memory (NVWFM).
a. Press
Local > Mode > Dual ARB > Waveform Segments > Load Store to Store.
b. Use the arrow keys to highlight the file to be licensed.
c. Press
Store Segment to NVWFM Memory.
3. License the waveform:
a. Press
Return > ARB Setup > Waveform Utilities > 5-Pack Licensing > Add Waveforms to 5-Pack.
The signal generator displays a catalog of files labeled: Catalog of WFM1 Files.
b. Use the arrow keys to highlight the file to be licensed.
c. Press
Add Waveform.
A warning is displayed: *** Waveform Licensing Warning!!! ***. If necessary, verify you
have selected the correct waveform you want for licensing by pressing
Return. Otherwise continue to
the next step. Refer to Figure 4-12.
