Configuring an External Signal for DPCH Power Control
1. Press
Link Control > Power Mode Norm TPC to TPC.
2. Press
PhCH Setup > Tr a n s mi t P o wer Co n t ro l Se t up .
This accesses a softkey menu and a table editor that enables you to set the power parameters.
Figure 16-45 on page 515 displays the transmit power control menu and data fields.

3. Highlight the Min Power field and press
Edit Item > −35 > dB.
NOTE The Min Power and Init Power fields are linked to the Power Step field. The values
will automatically round to a lower value if the selected Power Step value requires such an
adjustment.
4. Highlight the Init Power field and press
Edit Item > −20 > dB.
Notice that the absolute power values changed.
5. Highlight the Power Step field and press
Edit Item > 2.0 dB.
Notice that the Min Power field value is rounded to a lower value (−35 dB to −34 dB).
6. Press
Apply Channel Setup.
When the Apply Needed annunciator appears, press the
Apply Channel Setup softkey. The new
parameters will not be applied to the signal until this softkey is pressed.
