Chapter 4: Editing Sequence
• The Poly Pressure event

There are three fields:
1. The Note Number field (Note:

This is the note to which the pressure message applies.

This is the note name for the note number selected at the
left. This is for display only and cannot be edited.
3. The Value field (Val:

This is the pressure value for the selected note number (0
to 127).
• The System-Exclusive event

There are three fields:
1. The Size field:
This displays the total number of data bytes. The maxi-
mum size of a system-exclusive event in the MPC3000 is
999 bytes.
2. The Byte field:
The number of the byte whose contents are currently
displayed in the Val field.
3. The Val field:
The current value of the byte number displayed in the
Byte field.
• The Stereo Volume event
>Stereo_volume Pad:A01 Val:100
This message is exclusive to the MPC3000 and is used to change the
Stereo Mixer Volume setting of a particular sound in mid-sequence.
When the Record Live Changes feature is used (accessed by pressing
MIXER/EFFECTS, then 4), many of these events are recorded into
the active track to simulate a smooth and continuous mixer volume
change. There are two fields:
1. The Pad field:
This field determines which of the 64 pad numbers/mixer
sliders (A01-D16) this message will affect.
2. The Val field:
This field contains the actual mixer slider value (0-100).
