CIPSYMBOLICCFG data type
The following table describes the CIPSYMBOLICCFG data type.
Parameter Data type Description
Service USINT Service code:
• 0 - Read (default)
• 1 - Write
Symbol STRING Name of the variable to Read/Write.
• Maximum of 80 characters.
• Field cannot be empty.

Count UINT Number of variable elements to Read/Write:
• Valid values: 1 - 490
• 1 is used if the value is set to 0.
Type User-defined User-defined data type for the target variable.
See Symbolic data type support on page 187.
Offset USINT Reserved for future use.
A byte offset of Read/Write variable used to Read/Write a large size variable that cannot be processed in one
message.
• 0 – 0xFF
Reserved for future use.
