The hopper sensor is located inside the cabinet, as
shown here.

Wipe the hopper sensor with a clean, lint-free cloth to
remove any accumulated dust.
Do not use medical alcohol to
clean any sensor, as the alcohol
may damage the sensor, thereby
limiting its effectiveness.
When you have finished cleaning, slide the hopper
back into place, push in the pins which lock the
hopper into place, and close the front access doors.
