Problem/Error Message Possible Cause Suggested Solution
Touch screen illuminates
but is unresponsive.
Touch screen
dirty, wet ngers,
obstruction. BI
incubation disables
some utilities
functions. Clock on
sterilizer is not in
sync with the clock
on the reader.
If certain elds are not
responsive, make sure BIs are
not actively incubating. Ensure
that the time is synchronized
between the reader and
the Sterilizer.
Unplug the power adapter
from the back of the reader.
Wait 30 seconds. Reinstall the
power adapter in the back of
the reader and attempt to use
the touch screen again. Clean
the screen. If the problem
persists, contact ASP.
Reader will not connect
to network.
Network down,
faulty cable,
improper settings.
Note: ASP ACCESS is required
to connect to the network.
Network must be connected to
ASP ACCESS.
Check the connection of the
network cable. Check the
readers network settings
in the Utilities Menu under
Network Settings, and perform
a network test. Unplug the
power adapter from the back
of the reader. Wait 30 seconds.
Reinstall the power adapter
in the back of the reader and
perform a network test. Wait
15 minutes after connecting
to power to ensure completed
boot up process. If problem
persists, contact ASP.
BI does not t in
reader well.
Non-ASP BI. Only use STERRAD VELOCITY
BIs in the reader.
