2.3.5.1 The BIS XP Platform
The BIS XP Platform represents Aspect’s top-of-the-line BIS monitoring solution.
Operational differences between it and the Standard System include:
• Compatible with new line of sensors including BIS Quatro, BIS Extend, and BIS
Pediatric
• DSC-XP with new processing capabilities
• Improved sensor connector with increased comfort in prone patients
• Enhanced sensor troubleshooting via Sensor Data Display (see Section 7.1.3)
2.3.5.2 XP Compatible
The Adapted System offers some of the features of the XP Platform, but at a lower
upgrade cost. Operational differences between it and the Standard System include:
• Compatible with BIS Quatro, BIS Extend and BIS Pediatric sensors
• Improved sensor connector with increased comfort in prone patients
