Operator Action:
Illegal Sensor Type
An unrecognized Patient Interface Cable/Sensor has been
connected to the DSC. Make sure that the PIC connector is
clean and dry. (See Section 6.1). The PIC or Sensor may be
defective. Replace the PIC/Sensor.
E13, E15 Message:
Operator Action:
Re-prep Sensor
The sensor has an impedance that is too high. Check the
cable connections and correct as necessary. If the message
persists, check the impedance of the sensor. Re-prep or
replace sensor as necessary.
E14 Message:

Sensor Not Connected
Sensor or Patient Interface Cable is not connected. Patient
Interface Cable or Sensor may be defective. Replace PIC or
Sensor. If problem persists, DSC may require service.
Replace DSC.

Last Sensor Check Failed
The operator aborted the last “Sensor Check” operation while
the test was failing. Check connections, re-prep, or replace
Sensor.

A communications error has been detected between the BIS
Engine and the Host processor. If the error persists, the
monitor requires service.
